also i just ran the simulation and went afk for a bit and when i came back there were 35,000 critters and i had to close the game because it stopped responding
Unfortunately it does get less stable at faster speeds. I tried my best to fix these issues but lost motivation to resolve it when it took too long to find the source of the problem.

the population can't be decreased. is there a better way than maxing mutation rate?
i tried downloading this and it ruined my computer. this sucks
it worked the 2nd time i tried but i still think this sucks.
its actually fun but how do i make the population drop?
thanks for the feedback! you can make the population drop by turning mutation to max, which should make offspring non-viable for survival!
it just makes it lag and populate more
